Our goal is to make quality custom made albums. We specialize in manufacturing Panorama Book, Mat albums, Pre Mat albums, and Self Mount albums. Established in 1998 as an importer of quality photo albums, we evolved into manufacturing our own line of Panorama Book, also known as Flush Mount album. Located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Design Art Album prides itself in manufacturing high end albums that are custom made under specific instructions from professional photographers.

A professional photographer himself, Art Cho, the proprietor of Design Art Album, makes sure that each album is produced with utmost care and attention to details.

Being able to manufacture high end albums that photographers want and demand gives me an immense satisfaction. After hundreds of trial, I am especially proud to offer our own Stronger Book line of products, which has finally perfected the process of custom made Panorama Album making. Our newest technology allows us to manufacture albums that will neither crack at the center nor warp.

Flush Mount albums are manufactured by many companies, but not all of them are created equal. Due to its complex and delicate nature, manufacturing high quality Flush Mount albums requires a great deal of expertise and know-how. With the current economic downturn, an evitable price war has flooded the market with inferior quality albums that are made with cheap material and labour. In an attempt to cut cost, most manufacturers skip the coating process altogether. Even some of those who do integrate the coating process typically utilize UV coating, which may be pleasing on the eye but does not solve the issue of cracking at the center of album.

Some manufacturers also supply products that were produced utilizing improper or unproven technique in the final bonding process. In an attempt to prevent warping, some companies use plastic sheets instead of papers, which lead to heavier overall weight and eventual separation of the sheets from photographic papers. If your current album has side finished with white, grey, or the mix of black and white, the book may not be finished properly. These finishing indicates that the three sides of the book has been cut and then put together with the cover skipping the finishing step. This may result in the separation of the photo and the paper or the skewed photos over time. There are some album companies who spray the side black, but the finishing will be rough.

We at Design Art Albums, each page is carefully sanded and sealed by applying special adhesive and foil to prevent splitting and warping. This technique prevents moisture from entering and thus provides air tight sealing of each page. Our premier Stronger Book line of products gives you an even higher level of peace of mind by combining special films and laminating process. This process, with higher cost and longer production hours, invariably requires even more attention to detail and high end equipments. Stronger Books may be ordered at only 10% higher cost than our Regular Books as we do not charge any extra for added labour and/or other incidental costs.
